Possibilies of transformation: sound and textiles in a room

KHIB textile department arranged workshop about sound and textiles in october 2009. Margareta Zetterblom is a PhD student at Högskolan, Borås in Sweden. Her research project deals with sound and acoustics in different rooms. She examines how textiles and other materials can affect and actively change the room`s acoustic qualities.
Her knowledge on the topic is important both for students working with acoustic art and installations, but also for those working with interior related projects and textile constructions. You can download her lecture here: sound and textiles.

Trond Lossius was also a lecturer in the workshop. Trond Lossius is a sound and installation artist living in Bergen, Norway. He has collaborated with other artists on a large number of cross-disciplinary projects, in particular sound installations and works for stage. From 2003-2007 he was a research fellow in the arts at Bergen National Academy of the Arts. More about Trond Lossius.
